Mr Myles has been crafting songs for children for nearly 20 years. He currently lives and educates in Kent and continues to inflict new songs on his children, both at home and in school.

Extensive experience in teaching music to children and understanding their emotional needs provides the stimulus to keep producing music that children simply love to sing and move to. Introducing a catchy melody, or 'ear worm' that helps a child to engage, mimic or learn is enough evidence to show that every child responds to music as they use it as a tool to communicate right from birth (and even before).

Music can be used in so many ways to provide emotional support to children; #endorphins, #wellbeing, #singalongs etc. For toddlers, my songs are fun, interactive and many follow a call & response style approach - lots of energy is required to get the most out of them! My songs for older children are essentially educationally-enhanced. Linking to topics, such The Great Fire of London or The Climate, these offer another way for children to retain facts about a topic they might be studying.

I find that my songs 'speak' to children in a way that brings out the best in them. They are so used to a digital media sound palette of 'plinky-plonky' bleeps, that I hope the music I write (which uses more authentic instruments) will remind them that there is another musical landscape out there and it's all for the taking!

I am motivated by poetry and a great story (fictional and non-fictional characters), as well as real life events. If I can make something into a song, I will. Time is the only mitigating factor when it comes to 'getting it down' and then onto this website.
